Planket is an annual exhibition of photography and photo-based art and Sweden’s largest outdoor exhibition. The title and theme of Planket 2011 was The Invisible, and for the first time the exhibition travelled between Stockholm and Berlin and featured the work of both Swedish and German artists.

Boco was invited to produce the catalogue for The Invisible, and co-edit it together with the exhibition’s curators, Hannah Goldstein and Iréne Berggren.

After deciding on the concept, we worked closely with the curators to select and sequence the works of the 60 featured photographers. We helped choose themes for contributing writers, assisted with structure and performed all levels of editing – developmental, copy and picture editing. We also interviewed the curators to contextualize their ideas about the theme and contributed with the catalogue introduction.

As project managers and creative directors, we put together the graphic design team and supervised all production work, from visual style and format to paper selection and printing.
